"Citizens need to realize that they need their legislators to be more afraid of them, the constituents, than they are of their leadership in the House and Senate."- Dana Perino (Former White House Press Secretary to George W. Bush)
CALL YOUR LEGISLATORS We encourage you to personally reach out to any of your City and State representatives about saving OUR horses in Kentucky. Please follow this link and contact as many of your representatives as you are able. Remember, your voice is the most powerful tool you can use to reach out to your representatives. Call if you have the time - let yourself be heard! Email is useful as well, but do not underestimate the persuasion of your personal contact via a phone call.

EMAIL LEGISLATORS While phone calls are often the most effective tool to persuade a representative, email can be quite effective as well. The tool can be especially effective when emails arrive in large quantity. To make this effort as easy as possible, we have composed an email that you can sign and send to every Kentucky legislator. Simply add your name, city, and county to the closing of the message and send it away.

TELL YOUR STORY Save The Horses wants Kentuckians to attach a face and a name to their opinion supporting Kentucky's horse industry and the collective effort to expand gambling in this state. Legislators need to see the faces and hear the voices of each and every one of their constituents that demands their support of expanded gambling in Kentucky. Simply follow the link below to tell YOUR story. Save The Horses intends to print your response and photo in addition to those of every participant of this survey to flood the halls of the capitol with "Faces in Support of the Horse Industry in Kentucky". Be sure to tell each and every person you know that supports this effort to visit this site and follow this link as well:

If you are legally eligible to vote in the state of Kentucky and have not yet registered, please take the time to do so now. Legislators seem to work harder for those they feel will check a box with their name next to it on election day.
Simply print this form, complete it and mail it to Frankfort. The first page of this document is the registration form, the second is an envelope you can use to mail your voter registration. (You will need to feed an envelope through your printer separately to utilize the envelope form in this document.)
